Hi, I’m Joanne Tracey, the Hungry Writer.

I’m an author, blogger, baker, candlestick maker. Okay, I don’t make candlesticks, but I do write words, chase sunrises and create happy endings.

Because the world would be a nicer place if only there was more tea and scones.

Too early for sunrise but a happening sky… and the first properly cold morning of the year. Love it. #mooloolababeach #friyay
I don’t want to get too carried away, but looking out my office window… it doesn’t appear to be raining!
Timehop has reminded me that 7 years ago I published my first book - Baby It’s You - and celebrated with a bottle of Bolly Grant had bought a couple of years previous for when it *did* happen. I’m now about to publish no. 9 & have no idea how. I also am so grateful for the faith Grant had in me all those years ago.

Yesterday was International Tea Day… so here’s tea & scones in a posh cup. So what if I’m a day late? In other news, it’s still raining. According to the dude with a rain gauge, 135mm from Friday through to 11pm last night… and still it comes down. #wetweekend #overthisrain #teaandscones
It’s pelting down out there today - & autumn has finally arrived. What better way to spend a Saturday than drinking tea, making up soups for the freezer & scones for now. #scones #brookfordkitchendiaries #bkd #teaandscones
